Come hear how our professionals from the County, SMUD and Milgard run businesses that are good for our environment, offer sustainable products and/or services and how they make a difference. Following the panel discussion there will be a tour of the Milgard facility.

steveoliver.jpgSteve Oliver manages SMUD's large commercial energy efficiency and retro-commissioning programs. He is also responsible for commercial green pricing (Greenergy), commercial community solar (SolarShares) and the new All-Electric Smart Home program. 

In addition to 12 years of commercial energy efficiency experience, Steve's background includes key account management and industrial equipment sales. A licensed mechanical engineer in California, Steve received a Bachelor of Science in Nuclear Engineering from UC Santa Barbara.

Cynthia Smith, CFM, Currently District Facility Manager for the County of Sacramento Department of General Services.  She is responsible for the operations, maintenance, repair, and alteration / improvement of 130 County-owned facilities totaling 2 Million square feet.  She is responsible for resource management (people and capital), budget development and accountability, and operational coordination of a district.

Cynthia has enjoyed working in the facility management field for 20 years. She chose the field of facility management because of her passion for people and the opportunity to make a difference.

Josh Middendorp has been in the building industry for 7 years, in both commercial and residential aspects. He has a degree in Construction Management with a focus in Architecture/Design. Josh is currently the Architectural Rep for Northern California.

He covers architects from the Oregon Border down to Fresno. His main focus is assisting architects with questions, giving industry presentations, and specifying Milgard products on their projects.
